Steakhouse Mac & Cheese

Steakhouse Mac & Cheese

This bold-flavored pasta dish is inspired by a classic steakhouse. Rich and creamy with just a hint of horseradish, it pairs perfectly with tender Keystone Beef for a hearty, satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (28 oz.) Keystone Beef, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 lb. Fusilli pasta
  • 2 Tbsp. Unsalted butter
  • 2 Tbsp. All-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups Whole milk
  • 1 cup Extra-sharp white cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 Tbsp. Horseradish
  • Green onion, chopped, for garnish

Steps

  1. In a large pot, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute, until smooth.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk and bring to a boil. Cook, stirring constantly, for about 2 minutes, until thickened.
  4. Reduce heat to low and stir in both cheeses until melted.
  5. Add cooked pasta to the cheese mixture. Stir for 2–3 minutes, until heated through. If too thick, stir in 1/4 cup water at a time to reach desired consistency.
  6. Stir in Keystone Beef and heat through. Garnish with chopped green onion and serve immediately.
